Academic Human Resources
Welcome to the homepage for academic employment at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Academic Human Resources is responsible for the human resources program for faculty, other academic, and academic professional employees on our campus. This office provides a wide range of employee and departmental services, including guidance and counsel to units and employees on all academic human resources policies; review and processing of all academic appointments; coordination of Board of Trustees approval items; and advises on all academic labor and employee relations issues.

- Effective July 1, 2011, the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus will be using the Tracker Electronic I-9 system for all HRFE transactions started on or after 7/1/11. Any "scanned" I-9 forms attached to these transactions will be removed, if attached to a HRFE transaction which is started 7/1 or after. Instead, any Original paper I-9s you already have needing to be sent to AHR should be imported into Tracker first, and then sent to AHR.

- As of 3/1/12 we will be accepting Summer 2012 jobs in HRFE
- Also as of 3/1/12 all Grad NEW HIRE and ADD-a-JOB transactions will require a signed offer letter attached in HRFE, even for "standard semester dates".

- 5/4/12 update: We are presently working on HRFE transactions received on 5/2/12. Instead of calling about a pending transaction, please check your Outbox in HRFE to check on its present status.
- The paper Hiring Request form has been replaced by a new workflow in the HireTouch system. We now have a Guidelines document as well as a Job Aid for using the new form in HireTouch.
